Collection: Fishing & Boating Decals

Our Fishing & Boating Decals collection includes vinyl boat registration numbers, boat name lettering, and fish & nautical graphics designed to withstand sun, salt, and spray. Whether you need USCG-style registration numbers for your hull or a custom name for the transom, our marine-grade vinyl is fade-resistant, weatherproof, and available in multiple colors and fonts to match any boat.

We offer registration number decals that meet common display requirements (minimum heights, high-contrast colors, correct placement on the bow) and make installation easy with peel-and-stick backing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Product & Quality Questions

What are your decals made from? Are they high quality?

Our decals are precision-cut from high-quality, outdoor-grade vinyl (e.g., Oracal 651 or similar). This material is designed to be durable and long-lasting, which is why it's a popular choice for vehicles and boats.

How durable are the decals? Are they waterproof and UV resistant?

Absolutely. They are fully waterproof and weather-resistant. The vinyl we use is rated for 5-7 years of outdoor life, holding up against sun (UV rays), saltwater, rain, and other elements without fading, cracking, or peeling.

What surfaces can I apply these decals to?

You can apply them to any clean, smooth, non-porous surface. They are perfect for boat hulls (fiberglass/gelcoat), truck windows, bumpers, trailers, coolers, tackle boxes, laptops, tumblers, and more!

What is the difference between a decal and a sticker?

A sticker is typically printed on a piece of paper or vinyl and has a background. Our decals are die-cut from a solid sheet of colored vinyl. This means there is no background color; the final result will be just the design itself (e.g., the fish) on your surface for a clean, professional look.

Application & Removal Questions

How do I apply my new decal?

For best results:

  1. Clean: Thoroughly clean and dry the application surface with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Peel: Carefully peel the paper backing away, ensuring the vinyl decal stays on the clear transfer tape.
  3. Apply: Position the decal and press it firmly onto the surface, starting from the center and working your way out.
  4. Squeegee: Use a credit card or squeegee to rub over the entire decal to ensure it's fully adhered and to remove any air bubbles.
  5. Remove Tape: Slowly peel the clear transfer tape off at a sharp angle. If the decal lifts, press the tape back down and rub it again before peeling.

I have bubbles under my decal. What do I do?

Small bubbles will usually disappear on their own in the sun after a week or two. For larger bubbles, you can prick the center with a fine needle or pin (don't use a knife) and gently press the air out with your finger.

Can I remove the decal later? Will it damage the surface?

Yes, decals are removable but not reusable. To remove, gently warm the decal with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Then, you can peel it off slowly. If any residue remains, it can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol or an adhesive remover like Goo Gone. When removed properly, it should not damage your vehicle's paint or boat's gelcoat.
